Askrigg lies in the centre of Wensleydale, easily accessible from the A684 which runs east - west through the dale. The A684 connects with the M6 to the west and the A1 to the east.

Approaching from the M6, turn towards Sedberg at junction 37 and drive along the A684 through Garsdale and Hawes to Bainbridge where you turn left and cross over the river Ure.

Approaching from the A1, turn towards Bedale at the A684 and continue through Leyburn to Bainbridge where you turn right and cross over the river Ure.

Once across the river at Bainbridge, turn right at the T junction and continue to Askrigg.

(where you will see that approaching from the A1 or East,
you can actually turn right in Worton for a shorter journey.
This is a single track road with passing places, however.)

We are the house with two patches of grass in front of it
in the centre of the picture, almost opposite St. Oswald's church.
