Askrigg lies in the centre of Wensleydale, easily accessible from the A684 which runs east - west through the dale. The A684 connects with the M6 to the west and the A1 to the east.

Approaching from the M6, turn towards Sedberg at junction 37 and drive along the A684 through Garsdale and Hawes to Bainbridge where you turn left and cross over the river Ure.

Approaching from the A1, turn towards Bedale at the A684 and continue through Leyburn to Bainbridge where you turn right and cross over the river Ure.

Turn right at the T junction after crossing the river Ure out of Bainbridge and continue to Askrigg.

(You can see from the map above that if approaching from the East, you can turn right in Worton for a shorter journey. This is a single track road with passing places, however.)

On arrival in Askrigg look for the house with two patches of grass in front of it, almost opposite St. Oswald's church.
