The Apothecary's House is an attractive three storey Georgian House in the village of Askrigg at the centre of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales. Askrigg has three pubs, a village shop, a post office, a church, a café and an excellent restaurant . With a 4 Stars Silver Award rating, the Apothecary's House is an ideal base for exploring all that the Yorkshire Dales have to offer.

All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, shaver points and hair dryers. An iron, ironing board and trouser press are available on request. Guests have the use of a large TV lounge with log fires in the winter. We have ample private parking and a lock-up garage for the use of cyclists.

Our Rooms

The Beamed Room has the original beams and is furnished to a high standard throughout. It has fine views over Wensleydale to the summit of Addlebrough. It has a king-size Kerry bed with matching furniture and en-suite facilities with shower. (£70 per room per night, total cost for double occupancy.)

Our twin room has a Georgian fireplace and classic proportions. Walkers may appreciate the fact that it has en-suite facilities with both a shower and a bath. (£65 per room per night).

Our third room also has a Georgian fireplace and an original in-wall bookcase with plenty of reading material. It has a double bed and en-suite facilities with a shower. (£65 per room per night).

There is a reduction of £25 per night for single occupancy of the twin room.

Our minimum booking period is two nights.

A deposit of £10 per room per night is required which we acknowledge in a written booking confirmation. We regret that we are unable to process credit or debit cards but payment may be made by cash or cheque, made payable to Mrs. S. Davies

Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable you only have to ask and we will do our best to oblige. Please note, however, that we are a no smoking establishment.
